Here at Madroña, we taste our way through hundreds of different wines every year. Needless to say in the over 30 years we’ve been making Madroña wines, we’ve tasted more wines than we can count. Truly, one of the great aspects of my job is getting to taste the wines we have made over the years. In each wine, live memories of a particular harvest year that recall friends and family, food and wine, and lots of hard work. So here I sit, with glasses spread out in front of me experiencing the wines – and that harvest – once again. My dilemma is always which wine to highlight.

2006 Dry Riesling – Reserve (March 2010)

March 2010 – Honey and apricot botrytis characters, caramel and apple, great structure and a great finish of pear and honey.  With this great acidity this wines should age nicely for the next 4-7 years.
